Sanjay Kumar Singh selected as Director (Project), NHPC Limited

Sanjay Kumar Singh has been selected as Director (Project), NHPC Limited at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on March 12, 2024. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager (Head of Project), SJVN Limited.

He will be appointed to the post of Director (Project) after receiving vigilance clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

The following 12 applicants were interviewed in the selection meeting:

Haryana: Three IPS officers shifted, B Satheesh Balan posted as CP of Jhajjar

The Haryana government has recently (9 March) issued transfer and posting orders for three IPS officers.

The names of the officers and their posting are as follows;

  1. B Satheesh Balan (IPS:2004:HY), Commissioner of Police, Sonipat with additional charge of IGP, CPT&R, Bhondsi, Gurugram, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Jhajjar.
  2. Dr. Arpit Jain (IPS:2014:HY), SP, Jhajjar, has been transferred and posted as DCP, Jhajjar with additional charge of DCP, Hqrs, Jhajjar and DCP, Crime, Jhajjar.
  3. Mayank Mishra (IPS:2020:HY), Additional SP, Palwal, has been transferred and posted as DCP, Bahadurgarh.

Chhattisgarh: 4 IAS probationers (2023 batch) get posting as Assistant Collectors

The Chhattisgarh government on Wednesday (13.03.2024) issued posting orders for four IAS Probationers of the 2023 batch as Assistant Collectors in various districts on completion of their training in Lal Bahadur Shastri National Administrative Academy (LBSNAA), Mussoorie.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  1. Anupma Anand has been posted as Assistant Collector of Raipur.
  2. M Bhargav has been posted as Assistant Collector of Durg.
  3. Tanmay Khanna has been posted as Assistant Collector of Bilaspur.
  4. Durga Prasad Adhikari has been posted as Assistant Collector of Janjgir-Champa

Odisha: Retired IPS officer Santosh Kumar Upadhyay appointed Chairman of OPRB

The Odisha Government on Tuesday (12.03.2024) appointed retired IPS officer Santosh Kumar Upadhyay (Retd IPS:1988:OD) as the Chairman of the Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB). Mr. Upadhyay’s appointment is effective for a two-year term starting from his joining date. He will succeed Rajesh Kumar (IPS:1998:OD), who was temporarily holding the position with additional responsibilities.

The Jharkhand government on Monday (11.03.2024) effected a significant bureaucratic reshuffle by issuing transfer orders for eight officers.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

  3. Balkishun Munda (IAS:2010:JH), Incharge Divisional Commissioner, South Chotanagpur Division, Ranchi with additional charge of Incharge Divisional Commissioner, Palamu Division, Medininagar, has been transferred and posted as Incharge Divisional Commissioner, Palamu Division, Medininagar.
  4. Anjani Kumar Mishra (IAS:2011:JH), Special Secretary, Revenue, Registration & Land Reforms, has been transferred and posted as Incharge Divisional Commissioner, South Chotanagpur Division, Ranchi.
  5. Sunil Kumar-II (IAS:2013:JH), Additional Secretary, Higher and Technical Education, Ranchi, has been given additional charge of Excise Commissioner, Ranchi.
  6. Faiz Aq Ahmad Mumtaz (IAS:2014:JH), waiting for posting orders, has been posted as Director, Horticulture with additional charge of MD, Jharkhand State Agriculture Marketing Board, Ranchi.
  7. Varun Ranjan (IAS:2014:JH), MD, Jharkhand Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (JIIDCO), Ranchi, has been given additional charge of Mining Commissioner, Jharkhand, Ranchi.
