Dinkar Asthana concurrently accredited as next High Commissioner of India to Gambia
Dinkar Asthana (IFS:1990), presently serving as Ambassador of India to the Republic of Senegal, has been concurrently accredited as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of The Gambia, with residence in Dakar. He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Anil Kumar Jadli selected as Director (HR), NTPC Limited
Anil Kumar Jadli has been selected as Director (Human Resources), NTPC Limited at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on March 27, 2024. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager (HR), COE Strategic HR & Talent Mgmt, ER & HR Tech, NTPC Limited
He will be appointed to the post of Director (Human Resources) after receiving vigilance clearances and approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

The Modi government on March 22 empanelled seven officers for holding Joint Secretary or equivalent level posts at the centre. The list includes six IPS officers from various batches and an IFoS officer.

CBDT: 4 IRS-IT officers promoted to Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax grade
As many as 4 senior officers from Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) has been promoted to the grade of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Pr. CCIT) (level 17 in the pay matrix). Consequent upon approval of the competent authority, these officers are promoted for the panel year 2024 on in-situ basis with effect from 01.04.2024 or the date of assumption of charge of the post by them.

T K Ramachandran gets addl. charge of Secretary in Ministry of Tourism
T K Ramachandran (IAS:1991:TN), Secretary in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has been given additional charge of Secretary, Ministry of Tourism. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (28.03.2024), the competent authority has approved assignment of additional charge of the post with effect from 30.03.2024 to 07.04.2024 during the period of absence on leave of V Vidyavathi (IAS:1991:KN).
Sandhya Bhullar gets extension as Joint Secretary in DPIIT
The central deputation tenure of Sandhya Bhullar (IAS:2003:GJ) as Joint Secretary in the Department of Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade (DPIIT) has been extended. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (28.03.2024), the competent authority has approved to extend the deputation tenure of Bhullar beyond 31.03.2024, for a period upto 23.02.2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
IAS Chinmay Pundlikrao Gotmare appointed Director in D/o Expenditure
Chinmay Pundlikrao Gotmare (IAS:2009:AM) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Expenditure. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training on Thursday (28.03.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Gotmare to the post for a tenure upto 12.04.2028 or until further orders, whichever is earliest.
Vikash Kumar appointed as Deputy Secretary in Ministry of Defence
Vikash Kumar (IA&AS:2012), who was recommended for central deputation by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Defence, Delhi for four years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training on March 27, the central government approved the proposal to appointment Vikash Kumar for a period of four years under the central staffing scheme.
