Deepak Kumar’s post in MHA re-designated as Director

The post of Deepak Kumar (IDAS:2010) as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has been re-designated as Director. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on Friday (09.08.2024), the competent authority approved the proposal of MHA to re-designate the position of Mr. Kumar at the Director level for a period upto 24.08.2026 i.e. total tenure of five years under the central staffing scheme.

It’s worth noting that Deepak Kumar began his central deputation tenure on August 25, 2021.

CBDT: 40 newly promoted CCIT grade officers get posting orders, 20 shifted, 22 assigned addl. charges

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on Friday (09.08.2024) enacted major changes in its administrative structure by issuing posting orders to those 40 officers who have been recently promoted to Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCIT)/Director General of Income Tax (DGIT) grade but had not yet been assigned roles. In the same order 20 CCIT/DGIT grade officers shifted and assigned new responsibilities while 22 CCIT/DGIT grade officers assigned additional responsibilities.

CBDT: Five Pr.CCIT/Pr.DGIT officers get posting orders, one assigned addl. charge

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on Friday (09.08.2024) issued posting orders for five officers at the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax/Principal Director General of Income Tax grade. Additionally, one officer at this grade has been assigned extra responsibilities.

They are;

  1. Pankaj Kumar Mishra has been appointed as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, MP & Chhattisgarh.
  2. Prawin Kumar has been appointed as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemptions), Delhi.
  3. Ganapati Bhat has been appointed as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (International Taxation), Delhi.
  4. Sanjay Bahadur has been appointed as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Training), Delhi.
  5. Rahul Karna has been appointed as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Odisha.
  6. Jahanzeb Akhtar, currently serving as Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (NaFAC), Delhi, has been assigned the additional charge of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (NFAC), Delhi.

Deepesh Gehlot appointed Joint Commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan

Deepesh Gehlot (ISupply:2010), who was recommended for central deputation by the M/o Commerce and Industry, has been selected for appointment as Joint Commissioner in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Delhi for four years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (09.08.2024), the competent authority has approved appointment of Mr. Gehlot to the post under the central staffing scheme for four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Mahar Singh (IInfoS:2013), who was recommended for central deputation by the M/o Information & Broadcasting, has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi for four years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (09.08.2024), the competent authority has approved appointment of Mr. Singh to the post under the central staffing scheme for four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

IRS Meenu Singh Bist appointed Deputy Secretary D/o Sports

Meenu Singh Bist (IRS-IT:2011), who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue, has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Sports, Delhi for four years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (09.08.2024), the competent authority has approved appointment of Ms. Bist to the post under the central staffing scheme for four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

IRS Anish Muraleedharan appointed Director, Ministry of Home Affairs

IRS officer Anish Muraleedharan (IRS-C&IT:2008), who was recommended for central deputation by the Department of Revenue, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Ministry of Home Affairs for five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (09.08.2024), the competent authority has approved appointment of Mr. Muraleedharan to the post for five years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

IAS Milind Dharmrao Ramteke appointed Director, M/o MSME

IAS officer Milind Dharmrao Ramteke (IAS:2009:TR), who is presently on compulsory wait in the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, has been selected for appointment as Director in the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (09.08.2024), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Ramteke for a tenure of 07.01.2025 under central staffing scheme extendable by two years on availability of cadre clearance with effect from the date of assuming the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Dhiraj Singh appointed FTII Director

Senior Indian Information Service officer Dhiraj Singh (IIS:1995) was on Thursday (08.08.2024) appointed to the post of Director, Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune on a deputation basis for a period of five years. Singh succeeds Sandeep Shahare to the post.

Presently, Singh is serving as Additional Director General at the Press Information Bureau, where he oversees media and communication for the Prime Minister’s Office.

An alumnus of Allahabad University and Jawaharlal Nehru University, Singh is considered to be one of the brightest and go getter officers. This could be the reason that he has been entrusted with such a coveted position for the incumbent dispensation.

UP: Four IPS officers shifted

The Uttar Pradesh government on Friday (09.08.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for four IPS officers.

The names of the officers and place of postings are as follows;

  1. Keshav Kumar (IPS:2017:UP) has been posted as DCP, Lucknow.
  2. Ram Nayan Singh (IPS-SPS) has been posted as DCP, Lucknow.
  3. Mahendra Pal Singh (IPS-SPS) has been posted as SP, Crime.
  4. Shiva Ji (IPS-SPS) has been posted as SP, Technical Services.
