IAS officer Nitin Bhanudas Jawale (IAS:2003:OR) has been appointed as Director in the Department of Atomic Energy, Mumbai. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (12.08.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet as approved the appointment of Mr. Jawale to the post under central staffing scheme for tenure upto 30.06.2028 (i.e. maximum admissible tenure of 7 years away from the cadre) with the waiver of cooling off period.
IAS Sujeet Kumar appointed PS to MoS Jayant Chaudhary
IAS officer Sujeet Kumar (IAS:2010:UP) has been appointed as Private Secretary to Jayant Chaudhary, Minister of State (I/C) for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education for five years. His appointment as PS is specially pertains to Ministry of Skill Development Entrepreneurship.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (12.08.2024), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Kumar to the post for five years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post or co-terminus basis or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary, to the Ministry or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Sujeet Kumar will assume the charge of the post at Director level.
IIS Rohit Tripathi appointed Deputy Secretary, D/o Higher Education
Rohit Tripathi (IInfoS:2015), who was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has been selected for appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Higher Education, Delhi for four years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (12.08.2024), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Tripathi to the post under the central staffing scheme for four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
IAS Laxminarayan Mishra appointed Deputy Secretary, MoRTH
Laxminarayan Mishra (IAS:2012:MH), presently on compulsory wait in the Department of Higher Education, New Delhi, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (12.08.2024), the competent authority has approved the appointment of Mr. Mishra to the post for a period up to 16.10.2026 with effect from the date of assuming the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday (12.08.2024) appointed two IPS officers to the post of Deputy Director General of Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) on deputation basis.

Bihar govt relieves IAS officer Sandeep Poundrik
The Bihar government on Sunday (11.08.2024) relieved senior IAS officer Sandeep Poundrik (IAS:1993:BH) from his duties in the state cadre, placing his services at the disposal of the Government of India for further posting as Secretary of the Ministry of Steel. Mr. Poundrik was previously serving as Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department, with additional responsibilities as MD of the Infrastructure Development Authority; Additional Chief Secretary, Energy Department; and Chairman-cum-MD of Bihar State Power (Holding) Company Limited.
Sandeep Poundrik was recently (on August 06) appointed as Secretary in the Ministry of Steel, Government of India.
Shailendra Singh Chauhan among 21 IPS officers transferred in Madhya Pradesh
In a major reshuffle of the police administration, the Madhya Pradesh government on Saturday (10.08.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for 21 IPS officers, including changes at the Superintendent of Police (SP) level in eight districts.
Notably, Shailendra Singh Chauhan (IPS:2012:MP), who was serving as Superintendent of Police (SP), Morena, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, 13th Battalion, SAF, Gwalior. Chauhan’s move is among the most significant in this round of postings, as Morena now gets a new police chief with Sameer Saurabh (IPS:2016:MP) taking charge.
The list of reshuffled officers also includes senior officials such as DC Sagar (IPS:1992:MP), Anurag Sharma (IPS:2006:MP), Krishnaveni Desavatu (IPS:2007:MP), and Atul Singh (IPS:2009:MP), along with several mid-level and young IPS officers.
The transfers reflect the government’s attempt to strengthen law and order across the state by strategically placing experienced officers in crucial districts and ranges.
With this reshuffle, districts including Morena, Mauganj, Balaghat, Sheopur, Raisen, Anuppur, and Mandsaur see new faces at the helm of their police leadership.
