Appointment committee of cabinet has cleared the appointment of six joint directors in country’s premier investigative agency (CBI). Of them three were freshly inducted as Joint Director whereas three officers elevated from DIG to Joint Director rank posts.

Praveen Sinha (IPS:1988:GJ), Additional Secretary in CVC has been inducted as Joint Director, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Ajay Bhatnagar (IPS:1989:MP), IG, CRPF has been inducted as Joint Director, Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI).
Pankaj Kumar Srivastava(IPS:1992:MP) presently in the cadre has been inducted to the post of Joint Director, CBI.
