The Madhya Pradesh government transferred 23 IPS officers in an administrative shake-up on Saturday. The transfers led to change of superintendents of police (SPs) of a-dozen districts.

T.M Vijay Bhaskar is Chief Secretary of Karnataka
The Karnataka government on Saturday announced the appointment of T.M Vijay Bhaskar as the state’s new Chief Secretary replacing outgoing CS Rathna Prabha.He will head the State administrative machinery for the next two years.
Mr. Bhaskar, from the 1983 IAS officers’ batch of Karnataka cadre, has been working as Additional Chief Secretary responsible for coordination and overseeing various departments of the State government. During his 34 years of service, he worked for more than eight years in various capacities in education administration and nine years in rural development at the national and state levels. The remaining years of service was in district administration and coordination.
His prominent postings included Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike Administrator, Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board Chairman, Additional Chief Secretary to government, DPAR, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Agriculture, Horticulture, and Cooperation.
Ram Pravesh Thakur appointed DGP of Andhra Pradesh
Ram Pravesh Thakur, an IPS officer of 1986 batch was appointed DGP by the Andhra government. Prior to this, Thakur was serving as the Director General of state ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau).
RP Thakur will succeed the former DGP Dr M Malakondaiah, who retired from service on Saturday.
RP Thakur started his career as Additional Superintendent of Police at National Police Academy in Hyderabad in 1986.He also worked as ASP in Guntur, Warangal districts and later at Krishna, West Godavari and Kadapa districts as SP.
Before heading CISF Eastern Zone Headquarters at Patna, he served as DIG of Rayalaseema and Warangal regions.He has also served as ADGP (Technology Services) and as DG (Drugs & Copyright).
Thakur has bagged several awards for excellence in the services.
Datta Padsalgikar is new DGP of Maharashtra
Datta Padsalgikar (IPS:1982:MH), has been appointed as Director General of Police in Maharashtra.He took over from Satish Mahtur who retired on saturday.
Subodh Jaiswal appointed as Police Commissioner of Mumbai
Subodh Jaiswal(IPS:1985:MH) has been appointed as the new Mumbai Police commissioner. Jaiswal took oath to the post on Saturday, assuming charge with immediate effect.
Jaiswal had earlier served as the additional commissioner of police in the state, and also has a stint at the state reserve police to his credit.
He has also served as a senior official with the research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and was part of the team that investigated the Telgi scam.
Vijay Kumar Dev returns to parent cadre
Vijay Kumar Dev (IAS:1987:UT), Director General, Training, has been repatriated to his parent cadre with the imposition of extended cooling off.

1.Ajoy Kumar (lAS:1984:BH) has been appointed as Secretary, National Commission for Backward Classes in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. Presently he is posted as Additional Secretary, National Commission for Minorities.
2.Arun Goyal (IAS:1985:UT) appointed Secretary Coordination, Cabinet Secretariat vice Inder Jit Singh (IAS:1985:KL). Presently Goyal is posted as Special Secretary, Department of Revenue.
3.T. Rajeshwari (ISS:1985), presently in the cadre, appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation by temporarily upgrading a vacant post of Joint Secretary in the Ministry.
