11 IAS Probationers get field postings in Rajasthan

The Rajasthan government has issued posting orders to 11 new IAS officers of the state cadre on Monday. The 2017 batch officers were given postings on the post of SDMs on completion of their training.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. Ms Sweta Chauhan : SDM, Shahpura, Bhilwara.
  2. Ms Tejaswi Rana : SDM, Chittorgarh.
  3. Utsav Kaushal : SDM, Kumher, Bharatpur.
  4. Awadesh Meena : SDM, Bhinmal, Jallore.
  5. Akshya Godara : SDM, Mavali, Udaipur.
  6. Dr. Gaurav Saini : SDM, Ratangarh, Churu.
  7. Sushil Kumar : SDM, Rajsamand.
  8. Devendra Kumar : SDM, Kishangarh, Ajmer.
  9. Ms. Riya Kejriwal : SDM, Bikaner North.
  10. Shrinidhi B T : SDM, Bali, Pali.

SM Vaidya takes over as Director (Refineries), IOCL

Shrikant Madhav Vaidya has taken over as the Director (Refineries) of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) on Monday. Prior to the coveted inclusion in the IOCL board of directors, Vaidya was serving as Executive Director (Operations), Refineries Division. He is also a Director on the board of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) and the 60 MMTPA (million metric ton per annum) Ratnagiri Refinery & Petrochemicals Limited (RPCL). RPCL, West Coast Refinery and Petrochemicals Project, is the world’s largest grass root refinery project, coming up in Maharashtra.

Pomila Jaspal appointed as Director (Finance), MRPL

Pomila Jaspal has been appointed as Director (Finance) of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) on Tuesday by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. Prior to this appointment, she was serving as Executive Director (Corporate Finance) of ONGC Limited. She is the first functional woman director on the board of MRPL.

Sandip Das selected as Director (Finance), Balmer Lawrie & Company Ltd.

Sandip Das has been selected for the post of Director (Finance) of Balmer Lawrie & Company Limited at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on October 15, 2019. He is currently serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

DM of Maharajganj among 6 suspended over ‘negligence’ in cow protection in UP

(PTI) : The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday suspended the Maharajganj district magistrate and five other officials for fudging figures and “negligence” of cows at a state-run cattle shelter. Chief secretary R K Tiwari said in press conference that there were “continuous complaints of negligence” in the upkeep of stray cows in Madhvaliya cow shelter in Nichlaul tehsil of Maharajganj district.

“The government constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Additional Commissioner (Administrative), Gorakhpur Division. The committee found several anomalies in the number of cattle during probe,” the UP chief secretary said.

He also said during investigation, the officers could not give satisfactory answers to the committee.

It was found that in the name of fodder and maintenance of cattle, the number of cattle was deliberately increased on papers to misuse government funds, he said.

On the basis of the report, District Magistrate of Maharajganj Amarnath Upadhyay, who is also the president of Madhvaliya cow shelter, the then SDM of Nichlaul Devendra Kumar and the current SDM Satyam Mishra, Chief Veterinary Officer, Maharajganj Rajiv Upadhyay and Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer of Nichlaul V K Maurya were suspended with immediate effect and departmental inquiry was ordered against them, he added.
