Sanjay Kumar Jha has been selected to the post of Chairman & Managing Director, Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on October 22, 2019. Presently he is serving as Director, MIDHANI.

ACC approves extension in upgradation, downgradation of posts in multiple ministries

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Monday approved an extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary. The ACC also approved down gradation of a few posts of Additional Secretary to Joint Secretary.

  1. The extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs, presently held by S K Dev (IAS:1988:MN), has been given for a term up to July 20, 2020.
  2. The extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs, presently held by Praveen K Srivastava (IAS:1988:AM), has been given term upto July 20, 2020.
  3. The extension in upgradation of the post of Administrator, Universal Service Obligation Fund, Department of Telecommunications from the level of Joint Secretary to that of Additional Secretary for term upto July 20, 2020. Presently, Ansuli Arya (IAS:1989:BH) is holding the post.
  4. The extension in upgradation of the post of Chief Executive Officer, Government e-Marketplace Special Purpose Vehicle from level of Joint Secretary to Additional Secretary for term upto July 20, 2020. Presently, Talleen Kumar (IAS:1989:BH) is holding the post.
  5. The extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Department of Fertilizers, presently held by Dharam Pal (IAS:1988:AGMUT), has been given for term upto July 21,2020.
  6. The extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat, presently held by Aramane Giridhar (IAS:1988:AP), has been given term July 21, 2020.
  7. The extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, presently held by Arvind Kumar (IAS:1988:GJ), has been approved for a term upto July 21, 2020.
  8. The extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, presently held by Tarun Bajaj (IAS:1988:HY), has been approved for a term upto July 21, 2020.
  9. The extension in upgradation of the post of Joint Secretary to the level of Additional Secretary in the Department of Public Enterprises, presently held by Madhukar Gupta (IAS:1985:RJ), has been given for term upto March 12, 2020.
  10. The extension in the down gradation of the post of Additional Secretary to the level of Joint Secretary in the Department of Atomic Energy, presently held by S M Alexander (IPoS:1987), has been given for term upto August 03, 2020.
  11. The extension in the down gradation of the post of Additional Secretary to the level of Joint Secretary in the Department of Space, presently held by Anoop Srivastava (IDAS:1989), has been given for term upto November 26, 2020.

Assam : Five IAS officers get addl. charge of Functional Heads of Khelo India Youth Games, 2020

The Assam government has attached the service five IAS officers with the Sports and Youth Welfare Department for designating them as Functional Heads of Khelo India Youth Games, 2020 Secretariat, Rudra Singha Sports Complex, Dispur in addition to their regular duties. The 3rd edition of the Games are scheduled to be held between January 10 to 22, 2020 in Guwahati.

The names of the officers and their functional areas are as follows :

  1. Debeswar Malakar, Commissioner, Guwahati Municipal Corporation has been given charge of House Keeping and Cleanliness.
  2. Shamsher Singh, Mission Director, Sarba Sikha Abhijan Mission and Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abijan Mission, Assam has been assigned the charge of Spectator Engagement and Host City Activation.
  3. Dr. Siddharth Singh, Secretary, PHED and MD, Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), Director, Neer Nirmal Pariyojan, World Bank Project, PHED, SPMU and CEO, FREMMA, has been given charge of opening ceremony and closing ceremony and other functions.
  4. Virendra Mittal, Transport Commissioner, State Project Director, Assam Inland Water Transport Development Society, MD, AIDC has been given charge of Transportation.
  5. Biswajit Pegu, Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (Metro) has been given charge of Accommodation.

Commodore PR Hari has taken charge as Director (Personnel) of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE) on Monday. Prior to his new appointment as Director (Personnel) of GRSE, Hari was serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

Hari was recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) on July 15, for the post of Director (Personnel) of GRSE. He was selected from a list of five candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel.
