R K Mathur sworn-in as LG of Ladakh
Former defence secretary Radha Krishna Mathur (Retd. IAS:1977:TR), on Thursday, sworn-in as the first Lt. Governor of Union Territory of Ladakh. He was administered the oath of office by Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court Gita Mittal at a function at Tisuru.
G C Murmu sworn-in as LG of Jammu and Kashmir
Girish Chandra Murmu (IAS:1985:GJ) on Thursday took oath as the first Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He was administered the Oath of Office and Secrecy by Justice Gita Mittal, Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, at a function held at the Raj Bhavan.
The warrant of appointment of Murmu, a 1985 batch IAS officer from Gujarat, was read out by Chief Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam.
M K Gupta and Raj Kumar appointed as MD of LIC
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved the appointment of Mukesh Kumar Gupta and Raj Kumar as Managing Director of insurance behemoth LIC. Presently, they are working as Executive Directors in LIC. The Banks Board Bureau (BBB) had recommended their names after interviewing seven officials in August, 2019.
In addition to Chairman, LIC has four Managing Directors. The appointment is done against the vacancy created by retirement of B Venugopal and Hemant Bhargava in May and July, respectively.
In March, the government had appointed MR Kumar as the chairman of LIC, and TC Suseel Kumar and Vipin Anand were appointed as managing directors.
S K Chadha gets extension as MD, NAFED
The tenure of Sanjeev Kumar Chadha (IFS:1989:OR), Managing Director, National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) under Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare has been extended for a period of two years beyond 25.11.2019 or until further orders.
R P Mandal appointed as Chief Secretary, Chhattisgarh
R P Mandal (IAS:1987:CG) was on Thursday appointed as Chief Secretary in the Chhattishgarh government. The appointment of Mandal came following the retirement of Sunil Kujur (IAS:1986:CG) from service today. Mondal will have a brief tenure of seventeen months as State Chief Secretary.
He is presently posted as Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development with additional charge of Development Commissioner and Director General Thakur Pyarelal Panchayat and Rural Development Institute (SIRD), Raipur as well as Forest department.

The Haryana government on Wednesday posted three IAS officers of 2017 batch as sub-divisional officers (SDOs) of various sub-division in the state.
