The Narendra Modi government, on Tuesday, has recommended central deputation tenure for three officers from different services as Director and Deputy Secretary in different departments under the Central Staffing Scheme.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:
Vimal Anand (IRS-IT:2003) : Director, Department of Sports for a period of five years.
Ms. Rohini R Bhajibhakare (IAS:2008:TN) : Deputy Secretary, Department of Higher Education for a period of four years.
Vivek Shukla (ISS:2004) : Director, Department of Food and Public Distribution for a period of five years.

The Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, L.V Subrahmanyam (IAS:1983:AP), was on Monday transferred and posted as the Director-General of HRD Centre, Bapatla. Neerabh Kumar Prasad (IAS:1987:AP) was made in-charge Chief Secretary. He is currently serving as the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration.
It may be mentioned that Subrahmanyam had issued show cause notice to Praveen Prakash (IAS:1994:AP), who heads the crucial general administration department (political), alleging misconduct and violation of government business rules.
Significantly, Subrahmanyam’s transfer order was signed by none other than Praveen Prakash, following approval from the chief minister.
Aditya Mishra (IAS:1989:UP) was on Monday appointed as the Chairman of the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI) for a period of five years from the date of assumption of the charge.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mishra as the chairman of the LPAI on the recommendations of a search-cum-selection panel.
LPAI develops, sanitises and manage the facilities for cross-border movement of passengers and goods at designated points along the international borders of India.
Hemanth Kumar (IFS:1989:UP) has been appointed to the post of Deputy Director General of Forest (Central), Regional Office, Chennai on deputation basis under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period 31.08.2023 i.e till his retirement.
Suresh Chandra Garg has been selected to the post of Director (Engineering), HSCC (I) Ltd at a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on November 01, 2019. He is currently serving as Chief General Manager in the same organisation.

Justice (Retd.) Rajendra Menon, former Chief Justice of Delhi High Court, has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) for a period of three years w.e.f the date of assumption of charge of the post, or till attaining the age of 70 tears, whichever is earlier.
The Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) established in 2009 under the Armed Forces Tribunal Act 2007 at New Delhi. The AFT has a power of adjudication or trial of disputes and complaints with respect to appointments, commission, enrolments and conditions of services. It has a principal bench at New Delhi while regional benches have been established at Jaipur, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Chennai and Guwahati.
Retired High Court Judges are judicial members of the AFT.
Manoj Pande (IRPS:1991) has taken over as Member (Staff) of Railway Board on November 2. He was also appointed as ex-officio Secretary to the government on the same day. Prior to this he was serving as Director General (Personnel) on Railway Board.
