ED : Three Additional Directors get assignments

Three officers, who were deputed to the Enforcement Director (ED) as Additional Directors, have been given assignments.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. Ms. Sonia Narang (IPS:2002:KN) : Additional Director, Headquarters, New Delhi with additional charge of Patna zone office.
  2. Santosh Mankoskar (IRS-IT:2004) : Additional Director, Kolkata zone office-I.
  3. Sunil Kumar Yadav (IRS-IT:2005) : Additional Director, Chandigarh Zone office I & II

A Bipin Menon appointed as Development Commissioner, NSEZ, Noida

A Bipin Menon (I Trade S:1997) has been appointed as Development Commissioner (JS level), Noida Special Economic Zone (NSEZ), Noida under the Department of Commerce for a period of five years vice L B Singhal (ITS:1986).

Tamil Nadu : Three IPS officers shifted

The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday issued transfer and posting orders of three IPS officers in the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. M S Jaffar Sait (IPS:1986:TN) : DGP/Director, Fire, and Rescue Services, Chennai.
  2. C Sylendra Babu (IPS:1987:TN) : DGP Railway with full additional charge of DGP, Civil Supplies CID, Chennai.
  3. A T Durai Kumar (IPS:2004:TN) : DIG, Administration, Chennai.

In-situ upgradation of 13 IAS officers to Additional Secretary level

The Modi government, on Tuesday, cleared in-situ upgradation of over a dozen of IAS officers to the level of Additional Secretary in their respective ministries/departments presently serving in the rank of Joint Secretary.

They are ;

  1. Samir Kumar Biswas (IAS:1990:MH) : Additional Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals.
  2. T K Ramachandran (IAS:1991:TN) : Chairman, V.0. Chidambaranar Port Trust (Tuticorin), Ministry of Shipping.
  3. Ms. Sumita Dawra (IAS:1991:AP) : Additional Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade.
  4. Pankaj Agrawal (IAS:1992:MP) : Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.
  5. Rajat Kumar Mishra (IAS:1992:RJ) : Additional Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs.
  6. Ashish Srivastava (IAS:1992:MP) : Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development.

Modi govt effects reshuffle at Additional Secretary level

The Modi government, on Tuesday, cleared the appointment and reshuffle of Additional Secretary level posts in various departments and ministries.

The name of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. Sanjay Malhotra (IAS:1990:RJ), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power has been appointed CMD, REC Ltd., Ministry of Power in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
  2. Vijoy Kumar Singh (IAS:1990:PB) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles. Presently, he is serving as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Ministry of Textiles.
  3. Atul Kumar Tiwari (IAS:1990:KN) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship by temporarily upgrading a post of Joint Secretary. Presently, he is Additional Secretary, Ministry of I&B.
  4. Kailash Chand Gupta (IAS:1992:MP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
  5. Chandra Sekhar Kumar (IAS:1992:OR) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj. Presently, he is Joint Secretary, Department of Higher Education.
  6. Vineet Joshi (IAS:1992:MN) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education. Presently, he is Director General (DG), National Testing Agency (NTCA), Ministry of Education. He will continue to hold the charge of DG, NTCA.
  7. Hukum Singh Meena (IAS:1992:BH) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Land Resources.
  8. V L Kantha Rao (IAS:1992:MP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary and Director General (Acquisition), Ministry of Defence. Presently, he is Additional Secretary, Department of Defence Production.
  9. Sanjay Jaju (IAS:1992:TG) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Defence Production vice VL Kantha Rao. Presently, Jaju is Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production.
  10. Manohar Agnani (IAS:1993:MP) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare. Presently, he is serving as Joint Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare.
  11. Vivek Kumar Dewangen (IAS:1993:MN) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power vice Sanjay Malhotra (IAS:1990:RJ). Presently, he is serving as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power.
  12. Ms. Neerja Sekhar (IAS:1993:HY) has been appointed as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting vice Atul Kumar Tiwary (IAS:1990:KN). Presently, she is serving as Joint Secretary, Ministry of I&B.
  13. Vishvajit Sahay (IDAS:1990), presently in the Cadre, has been appointed as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Department of Science & Technology. He will also hold the charge of Financial Advisor, Department of Biotechnology and Ministry of Earth Sciences.

ONGC featured in Forbes list of World’s Best Employers

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), an Indian public sector multinational crude oil and gas company, has been featured in Forbes list of World Best Employers list.

The company has bagged its position 750 global companies in Forbes2020 World Best Employers list. Forbes surveyed 160,000 workers in 58 countries to rate companies for factors like COVID19 response, economic footprint, talent development, gender equality, social responsibility.

ONGC is owned by the Government of India, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. It is one of the largest oil and gas exploration and production companies in the country and produces around 70% of India’s crude oil (equivalent to around 57% of the country’s total demand) and around 84% of its natural gas. In a survey by the Government of India for the fiscal year 2019–20, it was ranked as the largest profit-making PSU in India. It is ranked 7th among the Top 250 Global Energy Companies by Platts.

ED : Three Joint Directors get extension

The Modi government on Monday extended the tenure of three officials holding Joint Director ranks in Enforcement Directorate for a period of one year.

They are :

  1. Madhab C. Mishra (IRS-C&CE) has been given one year extension from September 2, 2020 to September 1, 2021.
  2. Raman Gupta (IPS:2001:KN) has been given one year extension from November 16, 2020 to November 15, 2021.
  3. Rahul Rajput (IRS-C&CE) has been given one year extension from from August 27, 2020 to August 26, 2021.

Three IRS-C&CE officers appointed as Joint Directors in ED

The Modi government on Monday cleared the appointments of three IRS-C&CE officers at Joint Director level in the Enforcement Directorate.

They are :

  1. Kapil Raj (IRS-C&CE:2009) (till December 12,2020)
  2. Sudesh Kumar Sheoran (IRS-C&CE:2009) (till January 2, 2021)
  3. Manish Godara (IRS-C&CE:2009) (till December 29,2020)

Centre appoints four Additional Directors in ED

The Modi government on Monday cleared the appointments of four officers at Additional Director level in the Enforcement Directorate.

They are :

  1. Sonia Narang (IPS:2002:KN) (for a tenure upto July 3, 2021)
  2. Santosh Mankoskar (IRS-IT:2004) (for a tenure of four years)
