The Telangana government on Sunday extended the tenure of retired IPS officer and former Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Sharma (Retd.IPS:1982:TG), as advisor to government on Police, Law & Order and Crime Control for a period of three years with effect from November 12.
Sharma, a 1982-batch IPS officer, was posted as the advisor to government in November 2017. He served as DGP from November 13, 2015 to November 12, 2017. He has also held the post of Hyderabad Police Commissioner.
The Telangana government on Sunday issued transfer and posting orders of two IAS officers.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :
Rahul Raj (IAS:2015:TG), Collector and District Magistrate, Kumarambheem-Asifabad.
Krishna Aditya (IAS:2014:TG), Mulugu District Collector, was given full additional charge as Collector and District Magistrate of Jayashankar-Bhupalpally.
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has issued posting orders of IRS-C&CE officers (Probationers) of 70 th and 71 th Batch in the grade of Assistant Commissioner of Customs & Central Excise.

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has introduced a ‘Shorter Working Period Scheme’ for its employees to attain a better work-life balance. The scheme is effective from November 1 and is applicable for all regular employees up to mid-management level.
Under the scheme, employees up to E-7 grade can opt from various shorter working hours options like 3 days a week, every alternate day, four hours every working day or half of the working days in a month with a variable pay structure.The employees availing of this scheme will be able to retain facilities and benefits including HRA/accommodation, medical benefits and other perks, as per the scheme.
Commenting on the scheme, Anil Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman, SAIL, said, “SAIL has always been reckoned as a pro-employee organization. The Haryana government on Monday issued transfer posting orders of 02 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers in the state.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :
T L Satyaprakash (IAS:2002:HY) : Secretary, Home-I and Managing Director, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd with additional charge of Secretary, Power Department.
Sanjeev Verma (IAS:2004:HY) : Managing Director, Haryana Seeds Development Corporation, Panchkula with additional charge of Commissioner, Karnal Division, Karnal.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, on Saturday, has approved empanelment of 02 officers for holding Joint Secretary /Joint Secretary equivalent level posts in Government of India.
Arvind Kumar Kundalia was on Monday appointed as Secretary, Technology Development Board (TDP) for a period of three years. Presently, he is serving as Senior Principal Scientist, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Headquarters, New Delhi.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on 9 November cleared the empanelment of four IRS (IT) officers; Vinod Tanwani, Ms Ashima Neb,P V Pradeep Kumar and Sheodan Singh Bhadoria for promotion to the grade of Commissioner of Income Tax in the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax).
S Sakthimani was on Monday appointed as Director, Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) for a period of five years. Presently, he is serving as Director (Finance), Cement Corporation of India Limited (CCI).
Sanjay Srivastava was on Monday appointed as Chairman, Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) till he attains the age of superannuation i.e upto 30.06.2023 by temporarily downgrading the post of Chairman, BBMB (initially for a period of two years). Presently, he is serving as Chief Engineer, Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
