The Union Government has notified the appointment of three additional judges of the Calcutta High Court as permanent judges.
They are :
- Justice Shampa Sarkar
- Justice Ravi Krishan Kapur
- Justice Arindam Mukherjee

Sanjeeb Kumar Panigrahi appointed as Judge of Orissa HC
The Union Government has appointed Sanjeeb Kumar Panigrahi as Judge of the Orissa High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.
Rahul Purwar appointed as Chief Electoral Officer of Jharkhand
Rahul Purwar (IAS:1999:JH) was appointed as Chief Electoral Officer of the elections department of Jharkhand on Monday. He replaces incumbent Vinay Kumar Chaubey (IAS:1999:JH). Purwar was currently holding the charge of Managing Director of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited.

Giridhar Gopalkrishna (IRS-C&CE:1999), Director, Department of Justice, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre to avail the benefit of promotion.

Madhya Pradesh : 52 IPS officers transferred
In a major reshuffle, the Madhya Pradesh government transferred as many as 52 IPS officers on Monday.
Of the IPS officers shifted, five officers are additional director general (ADG) rank police officers while there are as many number of inspector generals of police (IGP), who have been shifted from their present post in the administrative exercise on Monday.
The officers transferred also include superintendents of police in as many as 16 districts of the state.
