Odisha : IAS & IPS officers shift to Mess as kids return from Abroad
Most of the IAS and IPS officers based in odisha have moved to messses and guest houses. This has happened because, their kids studying or working abroad have returned home.
Since the Odisha government has imposed a compulsory quarantine of 14 days for anyone who returns from abroad, the kids of these officers are in self-isolation.
The officers in turn have left the comfort of their homes and shifted to guest houses. (Kalinga TV)
Delhi : Three officers assigned addl. charges
Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal on Wednesday entrusted additional charge of different posts to three officers.
They are :
- Vikas Anand (IAS:2002:AGMUT) : Secretary-cum-Commissioner (Industries) holding additional charge of MD, DSIIDC, CEO, DSUSIB and Secretary (Tourism) shall also hold additional charge of CEO, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
- Ravi Dhavan (IAS:2011:AGMUT) : Commissioner, Excise holding additional charge of Member, DUSIB and Special Secretary, Services shall also hold additional charge of Special CEO, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), to look after scamless transportation of essential supplies.
- Rajesh Goyal (DANICS:2001) : Director, DUSIB shall hold the additional charge of Additional CEO, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).
Delhi : Two Nodal Officers appointed to oversee unhindered inter-state movement of essential goods
Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal on Wednesday appointed Nodal Officers to address any grievance or undue problems faced by the providers of Goods/Services including during inter-state movement and for coordinating with the District Administration/Police in this matter

Delhi : Vivek Panday appointed Nodal Officer to ensure unhindered delivery of essential goods via e-commerce
Vivek Pamday (IAS:2003:AGMUT), Commissioner, Trade and Taxes, has been appointed as Nodal Officer for the e-Commerce service in GNCTD. He will ensure unhindered operation of e-Commerce service for delivery of essential goods/ services in NCT of Delhi.

Dr. Renu Swarup to continue as Secretary of Dept of Biotechnology till her retirement
Dr. Renu Swarup will continue to work as the Secretary of the Department of Biotechnology till next 30.04.2020 i.e. the date of her superannuation or until further orders.
She took over as the secretary of the department on April 10, 2018 for a two-year term.
The move assumes significance as the country is working upon containing the spread of coronavirus. The Department of Biotechnology under the Ministry of Science and Technology is mandated to promote large-scale use of biotechnology among others.
Haryana deputes 22 IAS, 2 IPS and 2 IFS officers for combating COVID-19
The Haryana government on Wednesday deputed 22 IAS , two IPS and two IFS officers in the district for planning, coordination, monitoring and implementation of all activities for the prevention and control of COVID-19 in addition to their present duties, with immediate effect.

CBDT : KM Prasad and SK Gupta appointed as Members
The Narendra Modi government on Tuesday approved the appointment two Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officers as members of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
Krishan Mohan Prasad (IRS-IT:1984), PCCIT, National e-assessment centre in Delhi and Satish Kumar Gupta (IRS-IT:1984), PCCIT, Mumbai were appointed as CBDT members.
MP : Iqbal Singh Bains appointed New Chief Secretary
Iqbal Singh Bains (IAS:1985:MP) was on Tuesday appointed as the Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh by the newly-sworn in Shivraj Singh Chouhan government. Presently, he was serving as Chairman of the Revenue Board, Gwalior.
