Haryana : 35 IPS officers transferred

The Haryana government on Saturday issued transfer and posting orders of 35 IPS officers in the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

  1. Ajay Singhal (IPS:1992:HY) : ADGP/SVB, Panchkula.
  2. Sandeep Khirwar (IPS:1995:HY) : IGP, Rohtak Range with additional charge of IGP, Sunaria Complex.
  3. Dr. Hanif Qureshi (IPS:1996:HY) : IGP/IRB Bhondsi with addl. charge of DG-cum-Secretary, New & Renewable Energy Deptt.
  4. Y. Puran (IPS:2001:HY) : IGP/Prisons, Panchkula.

J&K : Former IAS officer Shah Faesal booked under PSA

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has booked former IAS officer-turned-politician Shah Faesal under Public Safety Act. Faesal, who has been under detention after scrapping of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status, was booked under the PSA on Friday night, according to the official sources.

Former chief ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti were also booked under the PSA on the night of February 6, barely a few hours before their preventive detention was to end.

UP : 2 IPS officers transferred, 1 promoted

The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday transferred two senior IPS officers in power department and promoted another in Intelligence Department.

Devendra Singh Chauhan (IPS:1988:UP), who returned from central deputation tenure recently, has been made the DG of Intelligence Department.

Mr Kamal Saxena (IPS:1988:UP), who was Additional Director General in the power corporation has been promoted at the Director General in the same department while Director General (Traffic) Vijay Kumar (IPS:1988:UP) has been transferred as Director General Home Guard.
