Chhattisgarh : 04 IPS officers shifted
The Chhattisgarh government on Friday issued transfer and posting orders of four IPS officers in the state.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :
- Davuluri Shravan (IPS:2008:CG) : SP, Rajnandgaon.
- Sadanand Kumar (IPS:2010:CG) : Commandant, 16 Battalion CAF, Narayanpur.
- Arvind Kujur (IPS:2010:CG) : SP, Mungeli.
- Jitendra Shukla (IPS:2013:CG) : Commandant, 17th Battalion, CAF, Kabirdham.
Professor Pradeep Kumar Joshi appointed as UPSC chairman
The Educationist Professor Pradeep Kumar Joshi was on Friday appointed as new Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). He will replace Arvind Saxena who completes his term as UPSC chairman today. Joshi is currently a member of the Commission.
He was the Chairman of both MP and Chhattisgarh Public Service Commissions and joined the UPSC as a member in May 2015.
His tenure as chairman of the UPSC will be till May 12, 2021.
Delhi : 10 IAS officers shifted

Govt reconstitutes committee to examine tainted officials
The Modi Government is to constitute a three member committee to examine the cause and representation of officials sacked for alleged inefficiency or corruption from the government service, according to a Personnel Ministry order issued on Wednesday, August 5 th , 2020.
In this three member committee, besides, Consumer Affairs Secretary, Leena Nandan (IAS:1987:UP) , Ashutosh Jindal (IAS:1995:TR), Joint Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat, will be the other member. The third member will be nominated by the Cadre Controlling Authority , under which jurisprudence, the corruption case and the concerned official comes.
This 3 member committee will examine the representation of employees who are sacked under Fundamental Rule (FR) 56 (J), (I) and Rule 48 of the Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules 1972.
G C Murmu appointed new CAG of India
The Modi government on Thursday appointed G C Murmu (IPS:1985:GJ) as the new Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India. He will be replacing Rajiv Mehrishi (IAS:1978:RJ) as the CAG. Mehrishi will be turning 65 on August 8.
Earlier, Manoj Sinha, Union Minister in the first Narendra Modi cabinet replaced Murmu as the L-G of J&K.
Murmu had on Wednesday resigned as the Lt governor of Union territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Haryana : Two IAS officers assigned additional charges

SEBI Chairman Ajay Tyagi gets 18 months extension
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved extending Ajay Tyagi’s term as chairman of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for a further period of 18 months with effect from 1 September 2020 to 28 February, 2022. His term was due to end on August 31, 2020.
In February 2020, Ajay Tyagi’s term as chairman of Sebi was extended by another six months.
Tyagi was appointed chairman of the market regulator on 10 February, 2017, replacing U K Sinha, and took charge of the chairman office on 1 March, 2017.
Tyagi is a 1984 batch IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre.
