Biswarup Das appointed Director in UPSC

Biswarup Das (IRS-C&IT:2010), currently serving as Joint Advisor in the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) at Deputy Secretary level, has been laterally shifted to the post of Director in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday (06.01 2025), the competent authority has approved the recommendation of the Civil Services Board (CSB) for lateral shift of Mr Das to UPSC as Director for a period upto May 10, 2027 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

It is noteworthy that Biswarup Das began his central deputation tenure on May 11, 2022.
