Birendra Kumar Mishra (ISS:2012) was on Wednesday (18.09.2024) appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Minister for Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying. His appointment is specially pertains to Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr Mishra to the post for a period upto 31.03.2028 (i.e date of his superannuation) or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as OSD to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
