Binesh Kumar Tyagi has been appointed as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Shipping Corporation of India Limited (SCI), for a period of five years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Thursday (01.09.2022), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways to appoint Mr. Tyagi to the post for five years with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or till the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (Liner & Passenger Services), SCI.
