Bihar: Six IAS officers transferred; MK Singh gets addl charge of Industries Department

In a significant bureaucratic reshuffle, the Bihar government on Sunday (13.04.2025) issued transfer and posting orders for six senior IAS officers. The most notable development in the list was the assignment of additional charge of the Industries Department to Mihir Kumar Singh.

Singh, who currently serves as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Road Construction Department, will now hold the Industries Department portfolio in an additional capacity.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;

1. Harjot Kaur Bamhrah (IAS:1992:BH), Additional Chief Secretary, Social Welfare Department with additional charge of Bihar State Women and Child Development Corporation, has been transferred as Additional Chief Secretary, Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Department.
2. Mihir Kumar Singh (IAS:1993:BH), Additional Chief Secretary, Road Construction Department, will now also hold the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department.
3. Dr. Safina AN (IAS:1997:BH), Additional Member, Revenue Board, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner of Magadh Division, Gaya, with additional charge of Additional Director General of BIPARD, Gaya.
4. Prem Singh Meena (IAS:2000:BH), Commissioner, Magadh Division, Gaya, with additional charge of Additional Director General of BIPARD, Gaya, has been transferred and posted as Additional Member, Revenue Board, Council.
5. Vandana Preyasi (IAS:2003:BH), Secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change with additional charges of Enquiry Commissioner, GAD; Secretary, Industries Department and MD, Infrastructure Development Authority, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Social Welfare Department with additional charge of MD, Bihar State Women and Child Development Corporation.
6. Kundan Kumar (IAS:2004:BH), Resident Commissioner, Bihar Bhawan, New Delhi with additional charge of Investment Commissioner, Mumbai, CEO, Bihar Foundation; MD, Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA), has been given additional charge of MD, Infrastructure Development Authority.
