The Bihar government on Thursday (13.06.2024) enacted a significant reshuffle by transferring as many as nine IAS officers. Among the notable transfers is of KK Pathak, who held the position of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) in the Education Department and was well-known for his controversial decisions. Pathak has now been appointed as the ACS of the Revenue and Land Reforms Department. Meanwhile, he will continue to hold additional charge of the Director General of the Bihar Institute of Public Administration & Rural Development (BIPARD).
The names of the officers and their places of postings are as follows;
- KK Pathak (IAS:1990:BH), Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department with additional charge of DG, Bihar Institute of Public Administration & Rural Development (BIPARD) , Patna, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue & Land Reform Department with additional charge of DG, BIPARD.
- Dr. S Sidharth (IAS:1991:BH), Principal Secretary, Chief Minister Secretariat, with additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Chief Minister Secretariat, has been given additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department.
- Deepak Kumar (IAS:1992:BH), Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue & Land Reform Department, has been transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Rural Development Department.
- Arvind Kumar Chaudhary (IAS:1995:BH), Principal Secretary, Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Home Department with additional charge of Principal Secretary, Vigilance Department.
- Pankaj Kumar Pal (IAS:2002:BH) has been posted as Secretary, Rural Development Department with additional charge of Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA).
- Lokesh Kumar Singh (IAS:2003:BH) has been assigned full responsibility for the Finance Department.
- Rajkumar (IAS:2010:BH), Director in Social Welfare, has been transferred and posted as DM, Bhojpur.
- Ashutosh Kumar Verma (IAS:2010:BH) has been posted as DM, Nawada.
- Mahendra Kumar (IAS:2011:BH), DM of Bhojpur, has been transferred and posted as MD, South Bihar Power Distribution Company.
- Prashanth Kumar (IAS:2015:BH), DM of Nawada, has been transferred and posted as Director, Social Welfare Department.
