Bihar: 35 IAS officers shifted, 15 Districts get new DMs

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Bihar government has transferred 35 IAS officers and appointed new District Magistrates in 15 districts on Saturday (08.04.2023).

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

1. Vinod Singh Gunjiyal (IAS:2007:BH), Secretary, Minor Water Resources Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Prohibition, Excise & Registration with additional charge of posts of OSD, BIPARD, Patna and IG of Registration-cum-Excise Commissioner, Patna.
2. B Kartikey Dhanji (IAS:2008:BH), IG of Registration-cum-Excise Commissioner, Patna with additional charge of the posts of MD, Beverage Corporation and OSD, BIPARD, has been transferred and posted as State Project Director, Bihar Education Project Council with additional charge of State Transport Commissioner, Patna.
3. Sanjay Kumar Upadhayay (IAS:2008:BH), Municipal Commissioner, Saran, Chhapra, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Food & Consumer Protection.
4. Seema Tripathi (IAS:2009:BH), State Transport Commissioner, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Art Culture & Youth Department, Patna.
5. Kanwal Tanuj (IAS:2010:BH), MD, Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation, Patna with additional charge of Tourism Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary, Environment Forest and Climate Change, Patna.
6. Ram Shankar (IAS:2010:BH), Joint Secretary, GAD, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Collector and District Magistrate, Sheohar.
7. Dinesh Kumar Rai (IAS:2010:BH), Joint Secretary, Home, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Collector and District Magistrate, West Champaran, Bettiah.
8. Arun Kumar Thakur (IAS:2010:BH), Director, Planning & Training, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary, Disaster Management Department, Patna.
9. Shirshat Kapil Ashok (IAS:2011:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari, has been transferred and posted as IG, Prison and Reform Services with additional charge of Additional Secretary, Home, Patna.
10. Alok Ranjan Ghosh (IAS:2011:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Khagaria, has been transferred and posted Director, Agriculture Department, Patna.
11. Udayan Mishra (IAS:2011:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Katihar, has been transferred and posted as Director, Science & Technology Department with additional charge of Secretary, Science & Technology Department.
12. Kundan Kumar (IAS:2012:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, West Champaran, Bettiah, has been transferred and posted as Collector and District Magistrate, Purnea.
13. Rajesh Meena (IAS:2012:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Saran, Chhapra, has been transferred and posted as Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Bihar.
14. Navdeep Shukla (IAS:2013:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Kaimur, Bhabua, has been transferred and posted as Director, Animal Husbandry.
15. Anand Sharma (IAS:2013:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Saharsa, has been transferred and posted as Director, Panchayati Raj, Patna.
16. Aditya Prakash (IAS:2014:BH), Director, Agriculture Department, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Rural Development Department, Patna.
17. Amit Kumar Pandey (IAS:2014:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Siwan, has been transferred and posted as Collector and District Magistrate, Khagaria.
18. Saurabh Jorwal (IAS:2014:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Aurangabad, has been transferred and posted as Collector and District Magistrate, East Champaran, Motihari.
19. Shyam Bihari Meena (IAS:2014:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Madhepura, has been transferred and posted as Director, Planning & Training, Patna.
20. Suharsh Bhagat (IAS:2015:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Purnea, has been transferred and posted as Collector and District Magistrate, Aurangabad.
21. Aman Sameer (IAS:2015:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Buxar, has been transferred and posted as Collector and District Magistrate, Saran, Chhapra.
22. Sawan Kumar (IAS:2015:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Shekhpura, has been transferred and posted as Collector and District Magistrate, Kaimur, Bhabua.
23. J Priyadarshini (IAS:2015:BH), Collector and District Magistrate, Arwal, has been transferred and posted as Collector and District Magistrate, Shekhpura.
