Bihar: 16 IAS officers shifted, K K Pathak posted as ACS, Education Department

In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Bihar government on Wednesday (08.06.2023) issued transfer and posting orders for 16 IAS officers including the additional chief secretary (ACS) and principal secretary. Officers including those heading crucial education and home departments were assigned new postings in the reshuffle.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

1. Chaitanya Prasad (IAS:1990:BH), Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Home with additional charge of ACS, Vigilance, has been transferred and posted as ACS, Water Resources Department. He will hold the additional charge of posts of ACS, Minor Water Resources Department and ACS, Vigilance.
2. K K Pathak (IAS:1990:BH), ACS, Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department with additional charge of DG, Bihar Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (BIPARD) has been transferred and posted as ACS, Education Department. He will continue to hold additional charge of DG, BIPARD.
3. Pratyay Amrit (IAS:1991:BH), ACS, Health Department with additional charge of ACS, Road Construction Department, has been given additional charge of ACS, Disaster Management Department.
4. Dr. S Siddharth (IAS:1991:BH), Principal Secretary, CM Secretariat with additional charges of ACS, Finance, and ACS, Cabinet Secretariat, has been transferred and posted as ACS, Home. He will continue to hold the additional charges of ACS, Cabinet Secretariat/ Principal Secretary, CM Secretariat, and ACS, Finance.
5. Deepak Kumar Singh (IAS:1992:BH), ACS, Education Department has been transferred and posted as ACS, Cooperative Department.
6. Harjot Kaur Bamhrah (IAS:1992:BH), ACS-cum-Mining Commissioner, Mines and Geology Department with additional charges of MD, Bihar State Minerals Corporation Limited, MD, Bihar State Mining Corporation Limited and MD, Bihar State Women and Child Development Corporation, has transferred and posted as ACS, Art, Culture and Youth Affairs. She will hold the additional charge of MD, Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation, and be relieved of the MD, Bihar State Women and Child Development Corporation.
7. Parmar Ravi Manubhai (IAS:1992:BH), ACS, Minor Water Resources Department, has been transferred and posted as ACS-cum-Mining Commissioner, Mines, and Geology Department with additional charges of MD, Bihar State Minerals Corporation Limited and MD, Bihar State Mining Corporation Limited.
8. Arvind Kumar Chaudhary (IAS:1995:BH), Principal Secretary, Labour Department with additional charges of Examination Controller, Bihar State Combined Entrance Examination Board, Enquiry Commissioner, GAD, and Principal Secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has been transferred and posted as Principal Secretary, Finance. He will hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary, Vigilance Department, Examination Controller, Bihar State Combined Entrance Examination Board and Enquiry Commissioner, GAD and be relieved of the charge of Principal Secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
9. Vijay Laskshami (IAS:1995:BH), awaiting posting orders after central deputation, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Animal and Fisheries Resources Department.
10. B Rajendra (IAS:1995:BH), Principal Secretary, GAD with additional charges of Principal Secretary, Public Grievances, GAD, Mission Director, Bihar Administrative Reform Mission Society, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, Labour Resources Department.
11. N Saravana Kumar (IAS:2000:BH) has been posted as Secretary, Rural Development Department with additional charges of Chairman, Bihar Technical Service Commission and Enquiry Commissioner, GAD.
12. Sanjay Kumar Agrawal (IAS:2002:BH), Secretary, Water Resources Department with additional charges of Enquiry Commissioner, GAD and Secretary, Disaster Management Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Agriculture Department. He has been given additional charges of Secretary, Transport Department and Enquiry Commissioner, GAD but relieved of the charge of Secretary, Disaster Management Department.
13. Vandana Preyasi (IAS:2003:BH), Secretary, Cooperative Department with additional charges of Secretary, Art, Culture and Youth Department and MD, Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation and Enquiry Commissioner, GAD, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change. She has been given additional charges of MD, Bihar State Women and Child Development Corporation and Enquiry Commissioner, GAD but relieved of the charge of MD, Bihar State Film Development and Finance Corporation.
14. Ashima Jain (IAS:2008:BH), awaiting posting orders after central deputation, has been posted as Special Secretary, Minor Water Resources Department.
15. Pratibha Rani (IAS:2018:BH), has been posted as DDC, Darbhanga.
