The Bihar government on Wednesday (04.09.2024) enacted a significant reshuffle in the police administration by issuing transfer orders for 14 IPS officers across the state. Notably, this is the first reshuffle of police officers following the appointment of Alok Raj as the state’s DGP
The names of the officers and their posting are as follows;
- Shaleen (IPS:2001:BH), IG, awaiting posting orders in Bihar PHQ, Patna, has been posted as IG, Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP), Patna with additional charge of IG, Special Task Force, Patna.
- Rakesh Rathi (IPS:2002:BH), IG, Hqrs, Patna, has been transferred and posted as IG, Training, Patna.
- Rajesh Kumar (IPS:2003:BH), IG, Training, Patna, with additional charge of IG, Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP), Patna, has been transferred and posted as IGP, Mithila Range, Darbhanga.
- Vinay Kumar (IPS:2004:BH), IG, Security, Patna, has been transferred and posted as IG, Hqrs, Patna with additional charge of IG, Security, Patna.
- Shivdeep Vamanrao Lande (IPS:2006:BH), IG, Tirhut Range, Muzaffarpur, with additional charge of DIG, Saran Range, Chapra, has been transferred and posted as IG, Purnia Range, Purnia.
- Pankaj Kumar Raj (IPS:2006:BH), SP, Awaiting posting orders in Home Department, has been transferred and posted as SP-cum-Assistant Director, Civil Defence, Patna.
- Vikas Kumar (IPS:2008:BH), DIG, Purnia Range, Purnia, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Begusarai Range, Begusarai.
- Babu Ram (IPS:2009:BH), DIG, Mithila Range, Darbhanga, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Tirhut Range, Muzaffarpur.
- Deepak Barnwal (IPS:2010:BH), DIG, SCRB, Patna, has been transferred and posted as DIG (Security), Special Branch, Patna.
- Nilesh Kumar (IPS:2010:BH), DIG, Administration, Patna, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Saran Range, Chapra.
- Abhay Kumar Lal (IPS:2010:BH), DIG (Security), Special Branch, Patna, has been transferred and posted as DIG, SCRB, Patna.
- Rashid Zaman (IPS:2010:BH), DIG, Begusarai Range, Begusarai, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Administration, Patna.
- Vijay Prasad (IPS:2012:BH), SP-cum-Assistant Director, Civil Defence, Patna, has been transferred and posted as Assistant IG, Training, Patna.
- Daya Shankar (IPS:2014:BH), SP, Awaiting posting orders in PHQ, Patna, has been posted as SP, ERSS, Patna.
