Bibhuti Bhusan Patel (IOFS:2000), who has been serving as Director in the Ministry of Defence since June 2020, has been prematurely repatriated to his parent cadre on personal grounds.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (06.05.2025), the competent authority has approved the Ministry of Defence’s proposal for Patel’s early repatriation.
Although his five-year central deputation was scheduled to conclude in June 2025, Patel has been released a month in advance.
