The tenure of Bharat Lal (Retd. IFoS:1988:GJ) as Secretary General in the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has been extended for period of one year on contract basis. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training Department (DoPT) on Monday (24.06.2024), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved to extend the tenure of Bharat Lal on contract basis for one year beyond 30.06.2024 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
