The deputation tenure of Bhabesh Sarmah, Joint Director (Interpretation), Lok Sabha Secretariat, as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Rameshwar Teli, Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas has been extended beyond 07.01.2024. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Wednesday (18.10.2023), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal to extend the deputation tenure of Mr. Sarmah beyond 07.01.2024 on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Officer on Special Duty to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
