Bhabesh Sarmah was on Wednesday (06.10.2021) appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Rameswar Teli, Minister of State in the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post for a period upto 07.01.2024 or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as OSD to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Presently, Sarmah is serving as Joint Director (Interpretation), Lok Sabha Secretariat.
