Senior IPS officer Atul Karwal (IPS:1988:GJ) was on Tuesday (09.11.2021) appointed as Director General (DG), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) by temporarily upgrading the post to the level of DG for a period of two years. According to an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post for a period of two years from the date of joining the post or till further orders, whichever is earlier.
He is presently working as Director, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad.
