Assam’s Director General of Police Kuladhar Saikia (IPS:1985:AM) has been given extension in service (IPS:1985:AM) for a period of three months beyond his superannuation, August 31, 2019. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Friday has approved the proposal of Ministry of Home Affairs for extension in service of Saikia.
The Assam government had appointed him as the Director General of Police of the state in April 2018.
