Assam : Two IAS officers transferred

The Assam government on Tuesday issued transfer and posting orders of two senior IAS officers in the state.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows :

1. Jishnu Barua (IAS:1998:AM), ACS, Social Welfare, Secretariat Administration (Archives), Home, Political and Revenue & DM Department is transferred from the Social Welfare Department and Substantively posted as ACS, Home and Political Departments and allowed to continue as ACS, Revenue & DM and Secretariat Administration (Archives) Departments as additional charge.
2. B. Kalyan Chakravarthy (IAS:1995:AM) posted as Principal Secretary, Social Welfare and Higher Education Departments.
