The Assam government on Saturday (18.12.2021) promoted eight Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of 2009 batch to Selection Grade with effect from January 1, 2022.
The list of officers promoted with their charges includes:
- Varnali Deka : Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar.
- Javvadi V Naga Subramanyam : Inter Cadre Deputation (Proforma Promotion)
- Biswajit Pegu : Deputy Commissioner, Dibrugarh.
- Rakash Agarwala : Commissioner of Tax, Commissioner of Excise and MD Assam Tea Corporation.
- Hitesh Dev Sarma : Secretary, Home and Political Departments and State Coordinator, NCR, Assam.
- Hemen Das : Principal Secretary, Assam Legislative Assembly.
- Devajyoti Hazarika : Secretary, Industries, Commerce and Public Enetrprise Department.
- Seema Rekha Bhuyan : Secretary, Personnel and Indigenous & Tribal Faith and Culture Departments.
