The Assam government on Sunday (07.07.2024) made significant changes in the police administration by issuing transfer orders for several officers, including 7 IPS officers.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follows;
- Satya Raj Hazarika (IPS-SPS:2005:AM), IGP (BTAD), Kokrajhar, has been transferred and posted as IGP (NER), Tinsukia with additional charge of IGP (ER), Jorhat.
- Vivek Raj Singh (IPS:2006:AM), IGP (MPC) has been given additional charge of IGP (BTAD), Kokrajhar.
- Indrani Barua (IPS-SPS:2008:AM), DIG (CID), Assam, Guwahati, has been transferred and posted as DIG (CWR), Assam, Guwahati.
- Ankur Jain (IPS:2011:AM), SP, Assam PHQ, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, 10th AP Battalion, Kahilipara, Guwahati.
- Ms. Aparna Natrajan (IPS:2014:AM), SP, Lakhimpur, has been transferred and posted as SP, Special Branch (SOU), Assam.
- Pankaj Yadav (IPS:2017:AM), SP, Barpeta, has been transferred and posted as SP (V & AC-I), Vigilance & Anti Corruption, Ulubari.
- Akshat Garg (IPS:2017:AM), SP, Railway, Pandu, Guwahati, has been transferred and posted as SP, Chirang.
