The Central Government has appointed Ashutosh Dwivedi, currently serving as Executive Director (Safety & Rescue) at Coal India Limited (CIL), as Director (Technical), Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL).
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (September 12, 2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment with effect from the date of his assumption of charge and till his superannuation on October 31, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Notably, the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) had recommended his name on May 28, 2025, after interviewing 12 candidates for the post.
