Ashish Tiwari (IFoS:1995:UP) has been appointed as Air Lead in the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), Kathmandu, Nepal, for three years. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Saturday (14.06.2025), the competent authority has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change to enable him to take up foreign assignment for three years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

ICIMOD is a regional intergovernmental knowledge and learning centre headquartered in Kathmandu. It works on behalf of the people of the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) region, covering eight member countries—Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan.

The centre focuses on improving the lives and livelihoods of people in the HKH, while promoting the protection of mountain ecosystems, cultures, and sustainable development.
