Aseem Kumar gets two-year extension in MNRE as Director

The central deputation tenure of Aseem Kumar (IDES:1999) as Director in the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) has been extended by two years.

According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday (03.06.2025), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the MNRE’s proposal to extend Kumar’s tenure beyond 28 June 2025 and up to 28 June 2027, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Kumar has been serving on central deputation since 29 June 2020, when he first assumed the post of Director in the Ministry.
