The post of Arvind Kumar Wani (IDAS:2008) as Deputy Secretary in the Union Public Service Commission, has been re-designated as Joint Secretary (Director level). According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), the central government has approved the re-designation of post of Wani with effect from the date on which he assumes charge of the re-designated post and for a period up to 30.08.2026 (i.e. five years of tenure under Central Staffing Scheme).
