Arunish Chawla (IAS:1992:MH), Secretary of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, has been assigned the additional charge of the Ministry of Culture. This follows the departure of Govind Mohan (IAS:1989:SK), who relinquished the post after being appointed as the Union Home Secretary on August 14.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday (16.08.2024), the competent authority has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post to Mr. Chawla till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
