The Central government on Tuesday (August 12, 2025) appointed Ms. Arpitha S (IRS-C&IT: 2015) as Deputy Secretary in the Digital Media Wing of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B), New Delhi. She was recommended for Central deputation by the Department of Revenue.
As per the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), her appointment falls under the Central Staffing Scheme for a tenure of four years from the date she assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
In her new role, Ms. Arpitha S will play a crucial part in enhancing the government’s digital media strategies, supporting public communication and outreach efforts through the I&B Ministry’s rapidly expanding online platforms.
