Arindam Bagchi (IFS:1995), presently serving as Joint Secretary (North) in the Ministry, has been appointed as new spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). He replaces Anurag Srivastava (IFS:1999) who will take over as next Joint Secretary (North) in MEA.
In the past, Bagchi had served as ambassador to Croatia and deputy high commissioner in Sri Lanka, besides having served as director in the Prime Minister’s Office.
