Apurva Chandra (IAS:1988:MH), Secretary of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, has been assigned the additional charge of Secretary, Department of Telecommunications. This decision was approved by the competent authority as per an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Monday, July 31, 2023. The additional charge was given to Mr. Chandra following the relinquishment of the post by K Rajaraman (IAS:1989:TN) on the same date. Mr. Chandra will continue to hold the additional charge until the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders are issued.
