Senior IAS officer Anurag Jain (IAS:1989:MP) on Wednesday (26.04.2023) took charge as Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH). He was welcomed by senior officials and personal staff, upon his arrival at the Transport Bhavan. Jain has replaced Ms. Alka Upadhyaya (IAS:1990:MP), who was transferred and posted as Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying.

Prior to this assignment, Jain was Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and held many key positions.
