Anuja Sarangi is likely to be appointed as Chief of CBDT

If sources in the finance ministry are to be believed, name of Anuja Sarangi (IRS-IT:1985) is doing rounds for the post of Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) chairman, and the announcement is likely to be made by the first week of September. Presently, she is working as Member (Vigilance) in the CBDT.

After retirement of PC Mody (IRS-IT:1982) in May 2021, J B Mohapatra (IRS-IT:1985) Member(Investigation), CBDT has been given additional charge of the post of Chairman of CBDT.
