Telangana government appointed 1990-batch IPS officer Anjani Kumar as police commissioner for Hyderabad. Kumar had worked in Hyderabad commissionerate as ACP during the restive statehood movement and also after Telangana was formed. The DU alumnus ushered police reforms, led elite anti-Maoist force Greyhounds.
