Anish Prasad (IPS:2003:TR), who is currently serving as Executive Director, Vigilance (Police), Railway Board, has been appointed as Inspector General (IG) in the Border Security Force (BSF) on a lateral deputation basis.
According to an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday (05.05.2025), the competent authority approved Mr. Prasad’s appointment to the IG post in BSF. His deputation will be effective from the date of assuming charge and will continue until the end of his existing deputation tenure on 21.06.2026 or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.
Anish Prasad began his deputation as ED, Vigilance (Police), in June 2021 for a five-year term.
