As we reported earlier, our prediction has proven correct—senior IAS officer Chandra Bhushan Kumar (IAS:1995:AGMUT) has been appointed as new Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday (21.11.2024) issued orders regarding appointment of Mr. Kumar to post. He will succeeds Keshav Chandra (IAS:1995:AGMUT), who was transferred to Delhi and subsequently appointed Chairman of New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC).
He was repatriated to parent cadre of AGMUT on request of the Ministry of Home Affairs on November 16. Before repatriation, he was serving as Additional Secretary & Mission Director of the Jal Jeevan Mission under the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation.
