Dr Sameer Sharma (IAS:1985:AP) on Thursday (30.09.2021) assumed charge as the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh. He succeeded Aditya Nath Das (IAS:1987:AP), who retired from service at the end of his extended tenure.
Das has now been appointed as the state government’s Chief Advisor in New Delhi, with the rank of a Cabinet Minister.
Sameer Sharma is due to retire from service on November 30 this year. However, it is expected that he too may get an extension in service, like his predecessors.
