The Andhra Pradesh government on January 4 promoted two senior IPS officers from the 1994 batch to Above Super Time Scale (II) in the rank of Director General of Police and two senior IAS officers from the 1995 batch to Above Super Time Scale (II) Apex Grade in the rank of Special Chief Secretary.
The name of the IPS officers promoted to DGP rank are;
- Kumar Vishwajeet
- A Ravishankar
Following their promotions, they will retain their current positions: Kumar Vishwajeet as Principal Secretary, Home Department, and Ravishankar as DGP, Crime Investigation Department (CID).
The names of the IAS officers promoted to Special Chief Secretary rank;
- G Jayalakshmi
- A Vani Prasad
Jayalakshmi continues as Chief Commissioner of Land Administration and is now titled Special Chief Secretary, while Vani Prasad remains Principal Secretary to the Government in the LFB & IMS Department but assumes the title of Special Chief Secretary.
