Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Dr Sameer Sharma’s (IAS:1985:AP) term has been extended by another six months. Dr Sharma, who is set to retire on May 31, will now continue in the service as well as Chief Secretary till November 30.
Centre has agreed to grant extension in service to Dr Sameer Sharma following a request made by the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He was originally due to retire on November 30, 2021. However, Centre granted a six months extension which helped him continue in the post till May 31.
