The Andhra Pradesh government on Thursday (11.07.2024) issued transfer and posting orders for 11 IPS officers. The most notable change is that Kumar Vishwajeet has replaced Harish Kumar Gupta as Principal Secretary Home. Vishwajeet, recently removed from the ADGP Intelligence post, was awaiting new posting orders. Known for his honesty and high integrity, as well as his good relationship with the current administration, he was expected to receive a crucial posting.
The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:
- Harish Kumar Gupta (IPS:1992:AP), Principal Secretary, Home Department, has been transferred and posted as Director General, Vigilance and Enforcement Department.
- Kumar Vishwajeet (IPS:1994:AP), former ADGP, Intelligence, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Home Department.
- Anjana Sinha (IPS:1990:AP), Chairman, AP Road Safety Authority, is placed in full additional charge of the post of Director General, Special Protection Force.
- Madireddy Pratap (IPS:1991:AP), who was waiting for posting orders, has been posted as Director-General, AP State Disaster Response and Fire Services.
- Ch. Srikanth (IPS:1992:AP), Inspector General of Police, OCTOPUS, has been transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police (Law & Order), Office of DGP(HoPF).
- SV Rajasekhara Babu (IPS-SPS:2006:AP), Chairman, State Level Police Recruitment Board is transferred and posted as Commissioner of Police, Vijayawada.
- PHD Ramakrishna (IPS-SPS:2006:AP), Commissioner of Police, Vijayawada, has been transferred and posted as Inspector General of Police, Provisioning & Logistics, Office of DGP(HoPF). He is also placed in full additional charge of the post of Chairman, State Level Police Recruitment Board.
- Gopinath Jatti (IPS:2008:AP), Deputy Inspector General of Police, Greyhounds is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Visakhapatnam Range. He is also placed in full additional charge of the post of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Coastal Security.
- Vishal Gunni (IPS:2010:AP), Deputy Inspector General of Police, Visakhapatnam Range, has been directed to report to Director General of Police (HoPF) for further posting.
- Dr Koya Praveen (IPS:2009:AP), Deputy Inspector General of Police, Greyhounds is transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kurnool Range.
- Ch. Vijaya Rao (IPS:2010:AP), Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kurnool Range, has been directed to report to Director General of Police (HoPF) for further posting.
